I am a craftsman equally interested and equally skilled in pretty much anything to do with wood, metal or stone. This means that I am eligible to tackle a broad range of jobs, some of them romantic in essence, others more just plain old "spade is a spade" jobs.
These may include such projects as blacksmithing and forgeworks, functional as well as decorative metalsmithing, architectural restoration, interior and exterior design, as well as landscaping and the transformation of ugly structures and sites into stunning features.
I am also one of eleven or so memorial artists in West Wales, specialising in traditional handcut lettering techniques, bas relief carvings and engraving, usually for the more discerning customer. I also enjoy the challenges of basic stone masonry, such as needed on barn restoration and older stone properties.
Summerhouses, traditional wooden greenhouses and conservatories also constitute interesting micro-projects, often combining the bespoke and rustic, with the "state of the art" - a useful combination nowadays.
Ten years or so of prop and set building for TV companies, together with exhibition stand construction, gave me the opportunity to gain valuable experience working with a very wide range of materials, latterly specialising in Natural resources.
Typically, I try to inform my customers through helpful guidance and suggestion, discussing a fair range of materials, options and costs. Often, an "artist's impression" of the finished idea is helpful to customers, providing a more realistic view of what the finished project will look like.
Hopefully, the gallery images and videos on the site will give you a broader spectrum view of my work, but please contact me if you'd like to discuss any projects or product ideas, I'm here to help.
